With their second game inside 72 hours, West Ham United take on league leaders Swansea in a good old fashioned first v third top of the table Saturday 3pm kick off.

Nuno’s side come into the clash on the back of their six goal thrashing of nine man Lincoln City but will be taking nothing for granted against a Swansea City team who have had an extra day’s recovery- and who have the solid early season form to be heading the table.

Quite how the Irons have recovered will be revealed with Nuno’s starting eleven.

The manager stated that all were ‘fit’ other than Venezuelan midfielder Keiber Lamadrid, but the Hammers manager is notorious for pulling unexpected changes – few fans will remember when the manager last sent out unchanged starting line ups in consecutive games.

West Ham’s lineup for the 3pm kick off has just been announced and here it is, looking like a tactical switch with three midfielders starting:

West Ham United:

Hermansen | Veltman, Mavropanos, Kilman, Morato | Engels, Mukasa, Kanté | Bowen, Pablo, Solomon

From the old Bobby Moore Upper to the Billy Bonds' stand these days - sometimes- have to admit I have not renewed my season ticket... I've been watching since '03 and a supporter since about 1970..
Favourite player - Dean Ashton: Still watch YouTube repeats of the Cup Final of 2006 hoping in vain that Shaka Hislop grows six inches and stops Steven Gerrard's injury time equaliser. Can tell I'm getting old knowing I saw both Mark Noble's debut and his last game at West Ham.
Pulling on a Claret and Blue replica shirt still makes me feel the same butterflies as when I was seven years old. Magic.

Not our strongest line up so expect early second half changes. Why Kilman starts every game I just can’t fathom. That is where the boredom starts with repetitive five yard passes between him and Mavrapanos. Austbo has done enough to be first choice over Solomon who runs a lot but with no end product. Midfield trio needs to get more creative and Engels needs to stop over hitting everything, a bit more subtlety.

Pablo with the first two breakthrough before bringing on the cavalry to fill their boots?
