Yesterday threw up some interesting transfer rumours involving West Ham, and none more so than a link with Real Madrid wonderkid Endrick. London Stadium bosses were reported in the Spanish press as having contacted the La Liga giants to declare their interest in the youngster, who has remained unused this season.

As a result, C&H have contacted our top transfer source to try and discover what the chances are of West Ham pulling off a transfer of one of the worlds outstanding young talents.

Endrick celbartes alongside West Ham’s Lucas Paqueta

The Hammers are one of three clubs to have shown interest in Real Madrid and Brazil striker Endrick, who could go out on loan this January. The Spanish champions are said to be exploring opportunities for the 19-year-old to gain regular playing time and speed up his development.

Interest Confirmed but Hopes Dashed

Valencia and Real Sociedad are the other teams reportedly keen to take Endrick on loan, but West Ham have already made contact with Real, according to Spanish media reports. Real Madrid are in no hurry to make a decision, though one could be made in the coming weeks to maximise the Brazilian’s playing time in the new year.

However, Claret & Hugh have received something of a reality check. A top transfer source told us this morning: “West Ham have no chance of signing Endrick. No chance at all.”

The former Palmeiras teammate of Luis Guilherme has struggled to impress boss Xabi Alonso, and his chances of more game time between now and January appear remote.
