West Ham v Spurs arrest numbers revealed

Met Police made four arrests in and around the London Stadium at the West Ham category C risk Premier League match against Spurs on Saturday they have revealed on social media.

Although they didn’t reveal whether the arrested supporters were West Ham or Spurs, dedicated West Ham police officer Andy Sheldon said on Twitter that the arrests were relating to one case of criminal damage, one assault and possession of offensive weapon, one assault on a police officer and one arrest for throwing a smoke bomb.

Claret and Hugh understands that stadium operators London Stadium also ejected fifteen supporters from the stadium for a variety of reasons including wearing rival supporter shirts in West Ham home areas on Saturday.

West Ham will face Spurs again in ten days time and the Police and security will be mounted all over again for the high risk fixture. Next time there will be 1,800 more Spurs fans as their allocation increases to 4,800 for the cup in the evening under the London Stadium flood lights.
