West Ham United faces a critical summer transfer window. With question marks over manager David Moyes’ future and a potential exodus of up to 13 players, the incoming manager will inherit a squad in need of a major overhaul.

However, there’s a potential positive development for West Ham fans. The club has secured a new midfielder, Andy Irving, who will be joining them this summer.

Many fans might have missed the deadline-day signing of the 23-year-old from SK Austria Klagenfurt. West Ham reportedly paid £3 million last year for Irving before immediately loaning him back to Austria.

Irving has been making the most of his loan spell. He recently grabbed a hat-trick in a thrilling 4-3 comeback victory for his team.

According to Austrian publication Kleine Zeitung Kaernten, Irving is set to return to West Ham in the summer, full of confidence after his loan success.

But it is yet to be seen if Irving’s undoubted ability can translate to the hurly burly of the Premier League
