Who needs Lingard? We have his replacement!

If Jesse Lingard can’t make up his mind we need to move on and not wait for the phone call that may never come like some jilted lover with unrequited love.

Lingard was great on loan for the Hammers and we have those great memories but he appears to have made up his mind to stay at Manchester United so good luck to him and we shouldn’t be keeping a place warm for him in case he changes his mind.

We already have a ready-made replacement in Said Benrhama who is like a new signing, he is on fire in the pre-season scoring two goals and setting up many others. He was easily the man of the match on Saturday at the London Stadium and he looks set to fill that void left by Jesse Lingard.

To be honest Lingard’s form dropped off at the end of the seaosn and if he did re-join the Hammers he might have struggled to displace Benny from his first-team berth.  I felt Benrhama was a little in Lingard’s shadow for the second half of last season but now he has the oppotunity to really shine.
