Antonio’s battle cry

michail-antonio-west-ham-stoke_3387473Michail Antonio is convinced the the injury-hit Hammers squad can mount a sustained Premier League push for a European place, as well as an FA Cup run.

He said: “We’ve definitely got the squad. We’ve got depth. We’ve already shown it this season.

“We lost six of our strikers and hung in there. Now we are starting to lose defenders. But we have shown that we’ve got the resilience.

“We’ve got to show that we’ve got the players that can step up and do the job that is needed.

Winston Reid – having suffered a hamstring injury – is expected back within two weeks and there are big hopes that Manu Lanzini will be available for the match against Blackburn Rovers at the weekend.

Diafra Sakho is about a week behind the midfielder..

  1. The constant flow of injuries has definitely blunted our season , but somehow the team is hanging in there .. That can only be down to Bilic and the high moral in the dressing room .
The whole squad seems determined to make this season something special and we should be proud of them . With injured players recovering from the Upton Park epidemic
And a few results going our way I think we can still maybe make 4th by game 38 .
It would be good to see City get a win today and a Manchester United slide down the table. But , we have to continue our determined mentality to compete . We have already played more games than any other team and with a run in FA cup that count is rising even higher . We arrived 70 minutes late at Carrow Road ,,, but that’s better than 90 mins late .
Come on you Hammers . 12 games to go and 24 / 27 points more would be fantastic .

  2. Agreewith most of what you say.. But I cant understand this not turning up for the 1st half..When we start fast like against city we put them on the back foot.. when we play like we did against Newcastle and some other games were always chasing. If we can play like we did for the last half an hour against Norwich why cabt we do that fot the 1st hour??
