Board meeting focus on Feghouli

Sofiane Feghouli will become a biggish issue at today’s annual review of the season being held at Sullivan Towers today.

The two Davids, Karren Brady and Slaven Bilic will settle down to frank talks after the club finally finished in a creditable 11th position.

But they will know it could have been very different had Feghouli not produced his best performance of the season, full of creative artistry and a great goal.

Playing in more central role, the Algerian linked well with Andre Ayew and the fact that Manu Lanzini was not quite on his normal game didn’t make too much difference as the Hammers took all three points.

OK, one swallow doesn’t make a summer but what it does show that there is clearly a lot more to the Algerian’s game than we had seen previously.

Roma and a couple of other European outfits are know to be hovering around him and the manager has admitted that talks are planned between him and the player to decide his future.

Frankly, were he to produce the quality he showed yesterday on a consistent basis it would be impossible to consider selling him. However, that is precisely the problem – like the team, he has lacked that consistency.

For sure, this is one that is set to exercise the minds of the chairmen and boss when they get to grips with their numerous issues today.

Do you type all this on a smart phone Hugh?

    Sort it out

    • sorted – I’m usually on point for proof-reading (albeit from smart phone) but was busy earlier on

    • Ched went to the same charm school as Hitler. You better do what he says though.I mean a spelling mistake is not far off the end of the world.
Im sure there are thousands of fans in a real state about it today 😁😁

  2. just isn’t a right winger. like downing, he may be more useful inside. but we have decent competition there. one thing though – ANTONIO on the right wing. first choice, every time. beast out there.

  3. A rare win/win situation for us.Keep him and he is a useful squad player or sell him if we have a decent offer and put it in the kitty for a forward.

  4. To be fair it must be hard to settle into an unsettled team that have also just moved home and had to deal with a mutiny. I say give him another season now the squad are starting to get used to the new stadium. He clearly has the talent but the whole team has been totally disjointed this season.
