Exclusive: fleeing Maiga leaves Irons in the dark

|

maiga2Modibo Maiga has done a ‘runner’ from West Ham to Saudi Arabia breaching his West Ham contract in the process, it has been claimed!

The Irons striker has apparently been pictured arriving at Riyadah Airport (right) last night – but ClaretandHugh has this afternon established West Ham haven’t given him authority to go there!

Maiga has a history of going AWOL and was reported to have done the same while on loan at Metz last season.

Now he seems to be at it again and club sources have made it clear to us that is tantamount to a “breach of contract.”

We were told within the last few minutes: “Even now we have heard nothing from the player. He’s in breach of his contract.”

Meanwhile, it appears that Kevin Nolan was looked after well ahead of his departure from the club with our source revealing: “Kevin was well paid to leave.”

Who cares cancel his contract for breach, fine him shoot him on sight what ever just don’t let him back in the country,
    That Msgia taken care of,
What ever they paid Nolan it was worth it,
He can leave with dignity now head to Sunderland to work with Hippo once again,
Could JOB not have gone as part of the deal ?

  • IronsEssex says:

    Hahaha bubs
Yeh same as what he said basically lol

The one thing that BS brought to the club was a sense of ‘oneness’ people mostly working together to an agreed goal. In the last few months the whole place has become a total shambles on and off the pitch, Lemmings loving the taste of Red cards on the pitch with a total lack of organisation while off the pitch players are going with no replacements, the club deluding themselves on transfers and expectations and now players deserting what increasingly looks a sinking ship. What with injuries predictably decimating a long term weak striker department and no urgency to do anything about it as the club is simply used to facilitate other’s transfer dealings, if this isn’t turned around soon I can see a total self destruct sequence taking place that could make the Grant year look like genius by comparison. What is it about this club that seems too infest every hidden extremity with incompetence.

Sorry to say this to you, but what a load of bollox. 3 games in & all this crap being spout out. 99% wanted Nolan out & now he is……
99% wanted Maiga out & now he is…..
So now we are a sinking ship & it’s all doom & gloom.
I can’t believe I keep reading all this. The board room must be huge to fit in all these armchairs for people who seem to think they know what is happening at the club.

      • Alan 'Ammer says:

Lol,i was just thinking much the same Essexclaret.Rather ott from Spy i would say.Is Kevin in disguise.

      • Sam Official says:

He does make some valid points.

PS your armchair for people who seem to think they know what is happening at the club…. is ready for you.

    • West Ham Fan No 32 says:

Seems like an overreaction spy, yes we have been poor and not defending properly, the chairmen aren’t doing Slav any favours letting Barton off the hook, not securing Cabaye earlier when he was the target and being stimied or worse with the striker targets. I don’t think Slav is going to let this go on, he has a plan and if people don’t fit in with it they will find themselves training with Amalfitano. It is a good tactic, Mark Hughes did the same at Blackburn it eventually got the players to buck their ideas up but it does take time to have full effect and possibly we will be the same, in the long run we will be better off and maybe next season our team will be unrecognisable from what Slav inherited.

  • Winner takes all says:

Three games into the season & we are doomed.**** sake, knock it on the head.

  • Alan 'Ammer says:

What is it with people who have names written in Claret on here, they are all doom merchants, lmao, first Kevin, now Spy in the Pie.Jeez, the Clarets are all manic depressives it seems 😉

  • bubs says:

Had to Happen number one son leaves the club and out they come Hippo,s little barmy army,
Curtiss must have a good deal sorted for him to walk away,
But what’s happening with Magia has he now broken his work permit as he has left the country, must throw his contract into doubt ?
    Come on you armchair lawyers

  • Derek The Happy Hammer says:

This is at least the third time he has gone awol.Sochaux,Metz now this time it appears.Crikey the guy is a serial offender,it has little do with our chairmen, manager or the club falling apart at the seams.Talk about overkill by some.

  • Michael Miller says:

That’s what we want – him to be in breach of his Contract so we can rid of him without paying up his Contract – result!

  • Hammerman6 says:

Will watch this one closely, Amalfitano was sentenced to three years in the stiffs for being 5 minutes late, this offence must mean life in a penal colony. If we could we get Jarvis & JOB to become serial offenders. Job done.

  • bubs says:

    Correct MM
If you break your contract at work SACKED
Just e mail the paper work to the Arabs get him to sign off and no more problem

  • Dunlopilo says:

Let’s let the legal team do their job. We don’t know what the clauses of the contract are, although general theory is that such a breach implies rescission. Even with that, the tosser is capable of arguing WHU owe him all the money to the end of the contract. Wait and see…

  • West Ham Fan No 32 says:

They can fine him a maximum of two weeks wages or £80K if he is on the reported £40k per week, either way its a win/win for the club unless they decide to keep him.

  • bubs says:

Trouble is we don’t want him to return, the owners want him back because they do not want to buy a new forward,
Just cut our losses we wanted him gone he has found a club that wants him why are we not biting there fingers off to get the deal done yesterday ?

  • darkhorse99 says:

Maiga was reported to have been kept back to play against Liverpool. So hammer fans should be happy that he has done a runner as he would have offered nothing.

  • johnboy says:

Great news, Nolan gone maiga gone , the man from Milan is supposedly signing tomorrow,
    How.good I don’t know!!
Something positive to talk about lads ???
And if you want the hippo be gone as well. It won’t be the roker roar it’ll be the hippo dunk!!!!
And few tubes of zovorax !!!!!!
    COUI
