FA Cup Quarter Final Reply date looks set

|

FA Cup.jpg-pwrt3The elimination of Manchester United by Liverpool 3-1 on aggregate in the Europa League tonight has meant West Ham will almost certainly play their FA Cup quarter-final on Wednesday evening on 6th April at the Boleyn Ground.

And that will see the Hammers will play three games in a row within eight days at fortress Boleyn where we have not lost a game at Upton Park since August last year when Bournemouth came out the 4-3 winners.

West Ham will play the London derby of Crystal Palace at home on Saturday 2nd April and  that will now be quickly followed by FA cup replay against the Red Devils , just three days later we play Arsenal at home with a lunch-time kick off where we hope to do the double over our London rivals.

Manchester United will be offered a full allocation of 6,000 taking up the whole of the Sir Trevor Brooking stand. Ticket prices will be priced more than previous rounds of £20 but less than the £45 charged at Old Trafford last weekend.

There are very few dates available to play the FA Cup replay with an international break and busy fixture schedule until the end of the season. The club confirmed they would release the date after the fate of the Europa League game was known while Chairman’s son Jack Sullivan also confirmed the replay would be set on the 6th April if Manchester United failed to make it through to the Europa League quarter finals.

An official confirmation is expected by West Ham and Manchester United soon.

I have to share this with the world…… A Man U fan at work today called me a ‘glory hunter’ and said now all the West Ham fans were coming out of the woodwork because we were one season wonders.

It left me to comment on his lack of a Manchester accent and laugh in his face. He replied ‘It’s a global game, I can support who I like”. Does anyone else have to work with idiots like this?????

    Its called jealousy cas ,
You can go back and tell him that martial can dive and get a pen but west ham can’t be given a stone waller , also the 2 hitmen donkeys , fellately the elbow and the crout can only receive a yellow instead of 2 reds , I’d be on his case all day long rubbing it in , I mean four meetings v Liverpool = 3 wins and a draw , plus the u21 beat a strong Liverpool side in the semi final . Ask him also if they train in a ice ring cos they spend most of the match falling over , lingard in particular is a perpetual diver as will be young when he returns , hippocrits !

We have not won any silverware yet,but your workmate has conceded that West ham are no doubt better than the arrogant side he has latched on to.

They should try and move the early Saturday kick off against the gooners to Monday or Sunday or at worst late Saturday, I guess we can all have a laugh telling the gooners that they have an advantage because we have a cup game in midweek 😉

Never mind by Sunday Eve when we have beaten Chelski and City have done them
They will be out of the Cups tooling to try and stay 6th and looking for a new manager,
Where did this glory hunting idiot come from and how many clubs between where he comes from and Mancester,
It’s a funny thing how many idiots come out of the woodwork on some subjects
Was he a plastic fan as well or does he travel to Machester to take his seat ?
Has he got a nice red and yellow scarf of the few true Manure fans or does he follow the red and white glory hunters run by American business men on interested in money ?
Debatable which are now the real fans
Best just ignore him he could have mental problems like their manager does he fall over a lot and speak a strange language ?
Has he got lots of portfolios about star gazing ( the long ball ) written by BFS ?

Being a season ticket holder, and been coming to West Ham
For many years, I find it pretty poor that the club have hicked up prices for this replay.
Knowing it is the last FA Cup game at the Boleyn and knowing the support made
For the 1st round surley it’s time the club gave something back to its loyal supporters.
But once again it’s about money and not loyalty.

UEFA will not be happy with this date.
They’ve scheduled the PSG v Man City game for Wednesday the 6th.
UEFA will not want the potential audience to suffer with that game.
Man Utd will not want to play on the Tuesday.
I reckon Wednesday 13th April is a more realistic date.
City play on the 12th so that we be out for the same reason.
