Fears growing over Sakho’s future

|

Diafra-Sakho-315346Diafra Sakho’s future is  on the line today with the unhappy striker set to meet boss Slaven Bilic for the first time since his training ground problems last Thursday.

And given Slav’s refusal to entertain strops from players – as demonstrated by his treatment of Morgan Amalfitano soon after his arrival – there may be some stormy waters ahead for the Senegal striker.

The general view appears to be that Sak is likely to face disciplinary action with most believing he will be on the bench at best for the Manchester United game.

This may have been confirmed by our best source inside the club claimed this morning who said: “His problems are 80 per cent about  not being picked Saturday.”

But he added ominously:  ” Sadly, there’s always the possibility sadly that somebody somewhere may be trying to engineer a move.”

ClaretandHugh was the first media outlet to report the problems with the manager later claiming he wasn’t picked because the striker had reported a minor injury.

However Slav had told BT ahead of the game that he was not injured which led to confusion over the situation in general.

The mainstream media has picked up on the story only this morning with The Mirror claiming Sak was already unsettled after his latest contract talks stalled, while Dimitri Payet and Cheikhou Kouyate have been handed improved deals.

And they add: “He is also understood to be upset by the club’s intention to land a big-name striker in the summer, which would push him further down the pecking order.”

After reporting the alleged training ground problems they add: “Sakho is said to have reacted badly to discovering he would not be starting against the Gunners, with hat-trick hero Andy Carroll getting the nod instead.

After training on Friday, and despite still being included in Bilic’s matchday squad, Sakho declared he had a knee injury. He was a notable absentee on the Hammers’ team sheet on Saturday.

He also posted a foul-mouthed message on social media, which said: “When I am hated I don’t give a f**k, I do everything to be more hated.”

The message on Snapchat – and its timing – appears to have gone down particularly badly with heavy metal music lover Bilic.

The Mail says that when asked about it, the Irons boss replied: ‘That’s a good one. That’s taken from the band Godsmack. No, leave it.’ Godsmack are a heavy metal band from Massachusetts.

Bizarre as there’s lot of incorrect info regarding this. Sakho negotiated improved contract terms last season, which David Sullivan was instrumental in arranging!

it’s a weird situation, I hope that the problem will be solved, because I believe Diafra is a very important player for WHU.

There was always going to be a problem when the club said they were looking to add a top striker to the squad ? But the bottom line is we need a striker that can play for the majority of the season free from injury ! Although not guaranteed to stay fit sakho and carol have suffered in that dept ! We have 4 strikers at present and next year means five ? Someone will be unhappy , the problem being that if all are firing on all cylinders then who do you pick ,the player that’s picked above everyone else will be the managers first choice unless they buy in to playing a particular pplayer for a particular game? To achieve that everybody has to be on board and wait for their game ! Its a difficult one , some say a nice headache to have , but I’m not so sure as it could upset the applecart just as this situation has livened upthis particular debate !
Will be interesting to see how it pans out !!!!
Possible agent iinput behind it ?? Its possible !!! Let wait and see ! Bad timing with the mancs coming up and the league , fingers crossed then !.

a good players yes but if he is going to trow his toys out the pram every-time slv wants to change things then he can leave

Once upon a time in days of yore, when i was just a little boy in shorts with big round green eyes clutching my cuddly teddy bear, ‘It’s a dog eat dog world son & only the strong survive.’ You can throw your toys out of the pram all you want but it ain’t gonna’ cut no ice with Bilic. Carroll was not an automatic selection on his return from injury. He had to prove himself just like everyone else. He’s doing that. It’s the only way, that’s why they get the big bucks. Get on with life or be gone.

I am all up for a player that has such passion that he is upset when told he is not playing. However the team is bigger than one man and I think that Slav has the nouse to channel this into a constructive future. I think it shows spades that they have tried to keep this as quiet as possible, not like Amalfitano. I hope it will be good news later today. Him and Carroll against Man U would be great!

Who,s more important to the future of West Ham United. Diafra Sakho or Slaven Bilic. surely that’s no contest. Carroll was picked on Saturday to exploit Arsenal’s ariel frailities, and it worked a treat. Any player who thinks he is bigger than the club is not welcome here. I hope the situation is resolved, but if not, then it’s goodbye Mr Sakho. and good luck.

Take a look at the bench of all bigger clubs & you will see £15m+ players sitting there. In a squad of 25 players only 11 can start a game. Do the other 14 throw a strop & refuse to be named on the bench? Do they f##k. Some players have a very short memories, Sakho needs to look back a couple of years, remember who he was playing for & remove his head from his arse. Being at a club who have big ambitions & aim to be challenging for silverwear every season we will need a strong squad. So get on board or F##k OFF. Harsh maybe but needs to be said.

Aaaargh, lets wait & see what actually happened (if we ever do find out) before starting to write the guy off.We believe the media about little else so why take this as 100% correct on sites. Not saying it isn’t right but let’s not hang the guy already.Of course it gives the fans whos preference is Carroll plenty to gossip about, lol

  • Sams P45 says:

Haha, the fans are like a load of old ladies round a table gossiping today about Saks.Any scenario is possible across the sites, lol.Slav will sort this out, whatever the actual truth is.Can’t be ar#ed with discussing something we don’t have the true facts on,lol 🙂

  • essexclarets says:

No one is bigger than the club, i agree with Billy that we dont know what really happened but I stand by what i said above. Get with the program or ship out, that goes for any player with ideas of grandeur.

  • Sams P45 says:

I agree with that Essex, but i was more just laughing at the fact that people don’t know the full story but now have Sakho down as a W#nker on the strength of what is basically gossip, haha. Not saying there ain’t some truth in it but lets have something more concrete on the situation before throwing Sakho to the wolves, lol 😀

    • Sams P45 says:

Mind you when you have people like HH writing articles with ‘Sakho doing a Diva’ in the headlines what do you expect, lol. If I was Sakho I would sue HH,haha 😀 😀

  • Billy the Hammer says:

Fair play everyone has a viewpoint,it’s what forums are for But what’s the point in making any sort of objective statement on the matter based on rumour, sources & any other rubbish we read.Lets wait to read something concrete on the situation on the matter if we ever find it before slagging the guy off.Funniest part of it is AC scores a hat trick so Diafra can jog on according to some,Lmao

  • StanThe Man says:

Totally agree Billy. Can’t believe some of the comments on sites about him. They already have him guilty as charged.****ing mugs.Based on what??? Gossip???.WHTID guys already have him hung, drawn & quartered.Wish I was ITK as much as them.Kneejerkers!

  • Gobby says:

Innocent until proven guilty doesn’t exist on Wetpants, they know all the facts before something has even happened.lol

  • mattefumi27 says:

ahahah… If it was up to Wetpants, Sak would already have been kicked out of the Earth without the possibility of parole… loool 😀

  • West Ham Exile says:

Lol,they always remind me of the bunch of old grannies in Last Of The Summer Wine who used to sit in the room moaning about men all the time.Today is Sakhos turn 🙂

  • WHU647580 says:

Ha ha P45 you naughty boy you…..this thread was going fine. Now look what you’ve done lol

  • Sams P45 says:

Haha,I only said HH should be sued for defamation of character by Sakho, lol.Ain’t my fault Nora Batty, lol 😀 😀

    • Sams P45 says:

Anyway my top sources told me it was Carroll had a sly dig at Sakho about him sitting on the bench instead of him for a change. So stick that in your pipe, lol 😀

      • mattefumi27 says:

ahah… thanks P45, this case is dismissed and Wetpants can rest peacefully… lol 😀

        • Sams P45 says:

Haha, well I was joking actually so the case must be reopened, lol 😀

          • Sams P45 says:

You have to remember that if anything comes from here or Sean it is sh#t,If it comes from Ex-whu employee it is gospel, lol 😀

          • mattefumi27 says:

ahahah… mmm… I really think we need to call Forensics… So the mystery of Sak deepens… lol 😀

      • WHU647580 says:

You see that tweet out there with Cresswell asking who Carroll is texting? Moves to his phone screen and its Andy offering to get Sakho a seat for Saturday’s game lol

        • Sams P45 says:

Lol,I ain’t seen it,I don’t have Twitter.I still say sue HH though.Who does he think he writes for now,the fecking Sun.Hears a few rumours & decides Sakho threw a wobbly.Sue his German ass Sakho,Hahaha 😀

  • mark west ham fan says:

lets just see how this pans out…He kept us up last season, when we went through a drought after a superb start…he’s a natural goal scorer……instead of reading what the press is thinkg, or speculating, or trying to rub salt in, or make things worse, this is between the player, the manager the owners….end off not the daily mail or who ever else
