Irons respond to Payet on crutches pic

|

payetcWest Ham are refusing to over-react to the picture we have published this evening of Dimitri Payet leaving Upton Park on crutches with his foot in a protective boot.

However, the boot is obviously in place for precautionary reasons as the club still have no diagnosis of the problem facing the French midfielder or that facing Enner Valencia who also left the ground on crutches after being taken off the Boleyn pitch by stretcher.

The two are set for scans tomorrow (Mon) assuming that any bruising allows the damage – if any – to be seen but in the meantime everybody is holding their breath hoping for the best whilst preparing for the worst.

Our best source at the club declared: “It’s still too early to say, but we have to prepare ourselves as it could be very bad news on both. We will know more over the coming seven days.”
