Leroy: We need to know what we’ll get every week

|

LEROY (1)It would have been next door to impossible to get a better response from the Irons as we saw at Southampton – they were full of pace, power and poise to crush their opposition after the Manchester City debacle.

But now comes another acid test – West Brom – and the Irons really need to show that it can deliver the sort of performance we saw at St Mary’s every  week.

It really is important that the fans know what they are going to get because there is nothing more frustrating than knowing this is a good side and getting bad performances.

We had Michail Antonio into the Premier League offices this week and he was telling us that the spirit in the dressing room is first class and that the team knows its strengths.

Those strengths right now are pace and power led by an Andy Carroll playing some of the best football of his career and I have everything crossed he makes it tomorrow.

West Brom will of course bring a different set of problems. They are always so strong at the back but have added a bit of attacking flair which shouldn’t cause problems if the lads at the back remain organised.

Home matches are a problem for the Hammers at the moment as they have been most of the season and for me that’s down to an atmosphere which is not too conducive to patience.

Understandably the crowd get edgy and maybe that’s getting through to the guys but if we can settle down a bit I’m sure that will help.

I want to see the Hammers buy a really good passing midfielder in the summer – someone like Michael Carrick at his best who can provide different options.

You won’t replace Payet and we don’t need to. But a guy who can boss midfield and see openings would be a great addition.

Tony Pulis’ teams always provide a real tough test but if we can carry on in the sort of form we saw at St Mary’s I believe we can beat them.

I loved the way we kept going forward and really killed the game off and if we get more of the same at the LS tomorrow then I think we will run out 1-0 winners.

Thats a perfect example of why i dont use their blog anymore, the same men spending the day moaning & b!tching about everything West Ham.If they knew what berks they looked to an outsider. Its like a grannies coffee morning moaning about the next door neighbours cats sh!tting in their flower beds.Such a bunch of miseries.
What has this site getting a flag got to do with them anyway.Oh yes of course it gives them something else new to moan about.

Lol im sure they will now make sure they get one an inch bigger than this sites.Theres alot to be said for an extra inch or two so i have been told 😂
Anyway heart says 2-1 tomorrow, head says 1-1.China Doll doesn’t play then the 1-1 looks the better bet.Snodgrass to get his first goal for us.Im now off to get an old bedsheet & paint WHTID in pink on it to courier over to them ready for tomorrows match 😘😂

  • Hammer64 says:

Er…Leroy, isn’t that passing midfielder Snodgrass?

  • Radai Lama..Paid up member of Slavs Chavs. says:

Carrick & Snodgrass are hardly comparable position wise.I get what he is saying,he is saying its time for Noble to be replaced 😁
Ok im just being a bit mischievous actually because i know that suggesting Nobes should be dropped or replced is second only as a hanging offence to waving your todger at the queen as she drives past 😂

I am pretty nervous about tomorrow, looking forward to it though as Leroy said we need to go out and be strong against them, they have a lot of experience and Darren Fletcher has been excellent for them, we really should have signed him he would probably be our captain now although maybe if we had Pedro would never have got in so who knows. Imho the first goal against Pullis teams is usually decisive no matter which part of the league you are in because his teams like to sit back absorb pressure and if they get the 1st goal punish you on the counter attack as they did so easilly in our first match this season. I do think we should go all out for the win if we have any ambitions for 7th place and I think they will set up for a draw which would be a good result for them against their nearest opposition hoping for the best COYI !!!

That whtid lot need to mind their own business…..for once.Instead of rattling on about polls here, clickbait, now bleedin’ flags. They are not right in the head some of them. What does it have to do with them how others use their own money..nosey ********s.

The wetties want some help in what to put on their flag. How about “West Ham Till I Die – whinging since 2007”
    Or “WHTID – Pampers Rule”
