PETE ELLIS looks at the Irons week that was!
Everton away, and as sure as eggs are eggs, Lukaku bagged his mandatory goal against West Ham.
I have a firm belief that if the bloke got hit by a bus, was cremated, and has his ashes scattered in the Bermuda Triangle, he would still pop up at the far post the next time Everton play the Irons.
I can only think that in a past life, his Mrs left him for a West Ham fan.
The London stadium was in the news again, as Chakka Khan has ordered an investigation into the finances of the deal.
I wouldn’t worry too much, as there is bound to be another band wagon for Mr Khan to jump on soon, as they come along like buses.
(His father was a bus driver just in case you didn’t know).
Karren will sort it out though, as she has overseen this whole magnificent transition…..
On a more serious note, Andy Carroll was apparently held up at gunpoint.
Now some have suggested that it was Gold and Sully trying to recoup some of that sick pay, but that’s not true.
Andy stood up to the armed men and when police asked what was he thinking, the Geordie tower simply confirmed that having seen the robbers were in fact Zaza and Carlton Cole, he knew if they took a shot, there’s a 99% chance it would miss the target anyway, so he carried on to the the hair salon unfazed.
Zaza and Carlton were unavailable for comment as one struggles complex questions, and the the other is of course Italian.
Anyway, Stoke today, and the two best players they have are out.
Step up Bony then…..
We need a big result and a bigger performance, so as always, let’s get behind them try and make the soccer bowl a fortress!
