Reece Oxford’s mum Youmna is tonight being reported as having been relegated to the stands to sit next to the away supporters at Wednesday’s EFL Cup match against Accrington Stanley.

And she and her family were allegedly unimpressed their two complimentary tickets did not allow them them to watch the match in the comfort of London Stadium’s vast hospitality suites for the player’s family and friends.

The report says that after complaining Youmna was directed to the disabled supporters area before eventually being allowed to enter the hospitality suite.

Oxford has just 18 months left on his current contract and Hammers boss Slaven Bilic is eager for the youngster’s long-term future to be secured despite limited first team action so far this season.

Oxford’s advisors are in talks with the club but negotiations over a new deal broke down earlier this week. Manchester United continue to lead the race to land the player.

  1. This looks like a ‘reason’ not to sign a new contract…..

  2. Sounds like she is up herself, this sort of thing happens many times a season, hopefully Oxford won’t turn into one of these kids that’s lives and careers are ruined by his family and friends.

  3. “relegated to the stands”. Oh like the other 40,000 of us . how sad.

  4. Don’t worry Mrs Oxford maybe the Daves can develop you a gold plated seat and feed you grapes by hand on your next visit? How demeaning for you having to sit with the rest of the fans especially as your beloved little boy has just signed his new contract with Nike 🙂

  5. Must be incredibly difficult to have a hard life on a council estate then discover your lad can be your meal (or match) ticket for life. Blows your sense of reality and proportion out the window, clearly.
