Report: Swansea keen on Irons striker (not Ayew)

|

diafra-sakho-west-ham-crystal-palace_3447376Swansea City are tonight reported to be considering a move for Diafra Sakho but the Hammers hopes of grabbing central defender Alfie Mawson look to be faltering.

Wales On Line claims  the Swans are determined to hang on to the centre-back and have even started talks with the defender over a new deal despite his current contract not running out until 2020.

Swansea are also desperate for strikers as the lowest scorers in the Premier League and had considered a move for Andre Ayew but the well placed Welsh media source claims the former player’s wages would be an issue.

Instead, it is now believed the club may be ready to pursue a move for Sakho who is desperate to leave the Hammers but would be looking for a deal of around £50k a week.

Swansea’s decision to enter talks with Mawson over a new deal could be good news for Reece Oxford who is looking for a run of games with the Irons after returning from his loan arrangement with Borrusia Monchengladbacjh.

Delighted to hear that re Mawson. It will be a sad day for the hammers when our best striker leaves. For whatever reason Sakho has not been given the game time his undoubted ability deserves.

Don’t know why you have failed to notice that Sakho doesn’t deserve a starting place due to his obvious desire to leave West Ham United .!
And not only that , I would hesitate to call him “ our best striker “ ,, we don’t have a best striker . Nobody is worthy of being described as our best striker . We haven’t scored enough goals to have a best striker !! . If Sakho is our Best , then we are surely very poor in that department . We are relying on set pieces to score the all important winning goal .
From open play we are producing nothing and a quality Striker must be our January Target . The more you score , the less you have to defend .

Like Sahko or not I’d prefer not to give him to rival in the table bc he is a very rounded CF & PL proven I knew they were keen & Palace might be too.
I would rather sell him to France for a few million less then help out a team 2pts off us who have decent CMs but need a CF & creative link.
Same for Palace who were keen.
BC Sahko has been in good form for us as Sub & for Country in his prime & if stays fit would not want him helping another team out that could hurt us.

      Kev’s been on the turps 😂 ,
He’s our best striker by far , not his fault he’s not starting , he’s fit and has been a good boy even though he’s not starting ! Our loss when he goes , makes you laugh when swans want him and not ayew 😂 I wonder why that is ! Sully is still pulling the transfer strings IMO Carroll the biggest flop ever signed along with face saving of not letting ayew go for 5 million
Pence, this is something this club could possibly do and put us in danger ! Give em Carroll and ayew for Mawson and free up dosh and get what we need in m/ f plus 2 fullbacks and a centre forward that IMO is not arriving in Jan ! Sakho and the pea up top and move on both in the summer if they wish to move on , crazy one to contemplate really , best thing for everyone is to move the amateurs in charge of the club on in Jan and a sheikyamoney to arrive bearing gifts !lol. The muppets didn’t deliver in the summer so what do you expect in Jan , apart from panic and extortionate prices expect very little , and if Moyes insists on prem players only coming in then he’s in for a shock because there’s not a quality player in the prem that would be mad enough to come and personally I don’t think Moyes is looking at the right players if the 133? players mentioned are his preference! Min 5 players needed IMO?
Not long to wait now before the next big debate of why we couldn’t beat the baggies ! 😂
I wish I was joking but nothing has changed my opinion of this side as it needs a major investment to move forward but we all know its not going to happen with this lot in charge !
Lose or draw tomorrow and panic buys are on the cards !😎
Then there’s the spuds ? Sakho starts one of those if there’s any sense in Moyes ! Well see soon enough ! But the problem is who is going to supply him, or them I should say 😂😂 catch 22 😉

Agree I would give Shako another year contract on decent wages £50k & prefomance add ons if I could. Is most rounded CF we have & he complements Chicharito better then AC or Ayew.
Moyes coming in gave us that chance had we of started him a # of times when we should have. Only lone striker we have that fits our system.
But w only 6months left they will want to get some money bc not a lot.

But def do not sell him to a relegation rival be daft.

As for players we need 2-3 without selling any players & if we sell 2 you are right we will need about 5. Another reason I don’t understand why sell Burke & Cullen for peanuts at least help fill squad some & Burke can cover RB Cullen decent ball playing CM.

Midfield must be a priority & I get Opare for fulkback very fast RB & can cover left back for £3-£5m.

And we need youth pace & passing Moyes is only looking at aging PL players other teams don’t want or in fringes. Or players he has managed which hasn’t worked out for him in past.
Even with those fringe players we will have to wait for teams to get replacements & be late Jan till we get them & at a high premium for being In PL & or English.

Need to bee looking across Europe at players like Elynoussoui £10-£12m much more creative then Shelvey w pace.
Love to see us go after someone like Frenkie De Jong 20yo DM CM & CB 7 assists in mid & played 5 aoss to cover as CB 2 assists. Also from Ajax Hakim Ziyech great passer huge creatorbwell over 50 assists at 24.
Hamza Barry £5m 2 footed Hadjuk Split.

Much rather De Jong then Mawson or any if others listed then Shelvey or Capoue (who is ok but 29 yo)

Moyes as to re think is recruitment bc this Jan is very important & we have 19th oldest sqaud & the smallest squad in PL history since inception 92. Still to small.

We are ranked 8th out of top 10 in Europe for Attendance in 2017 w BVB Real, Man U, Schalke, Arsenal, Celtic, Benfica, and 1 or 2 more but are the only one in bottom 3 every one else in top 6. So hit the next level w attendance but need the board to stump up funds bc won’t get that in championship!
