Slaven Bilic has held his pre-match press conference ahead of tomorrow’s game against Accrington Stanley. “This game is a good opportunity for us and we don’t have to travel. We have a good position. This is an interesting competition for us. We don’t play again until Sunday and we will play a mixed team. We need some changes and some of the players deserve to get a chance. We have had a couple of bad results after the international break. We have to act and very soon you can get out of the problem. Starting on Wednesday we have three mega games and three cup finals before the break. We have a good opportunity to come out of this. The boys know I am not happy. We spoke yesterday and we have to show a reaction straight away. We have to do it in games. We have some new players and a few have been injured. Some have come from different leagues but it is about time we gel together. The reality is we are not happy with the performances and the results. We have to be consistent as a team for ninety minutes every week. I am totally focused on training and the games. I never like to talk about other things.”

Mixed team are the girls going to get a game now,
We have enough players now that we can play 2 strong teams on paper without even using the kids,
We need to take this cup seriously as we are not going to get in Europe through the League,
Yes we need to be in Europe if we are going to attract good defenders to the club,as what we have are not up to the job,
Plus we need to rbe build confidence in the whole squad,
Oxford antsy aye Fletcher should play at some time,
Feggolui,Fernandez,Tore,Calleri all need to play as well,
Antonio,Masuaku,Kouyate,Noble all need to be rested,
Zaza needs To become fitter,
Obiang Oggy and Lanzini need to play to build fitness,
Payet could probably Sub to cover Lanzini,
Randolf needs to play and if he keeps a clean sheet should keep his place until his form dips,
Most of all I want to see Slav getting under every players skin and showing the emotional side we saw of him last season at the moment he looks like he has been jabbed with a stun Baton all the time,
Let’s get behind the team and the manager,
This is where are season starts or collapses all togeather a defeat will set us back
Whoever plays ( and we do have enough good players ), we must get a clean sheet. Confidence must come back to our defence, and quick. We will only do that if the whole team play their part in the defensive unit, so we don’t leave defenders high and dry, as this leads to individual errors.
I don’t mind who plays but would like to see Arbeloa a definite starter if fit enough. There should be room for Oxford at the back or holding midfield. I think Fernandes could be the surprise package this season, so he could be on the bench.
Who-ever it is we must win with a clean sheet.
