We’ve not got Payet

|

PayetcarHammer of the year, Dimitri Payet will be missing from the line-up against Stoke City tomorrow for the final game of the  2015/2016 season.

His unmistakable yellow Lamborghini  was noticeably missing from the Boleyn Ground players car park today and he did not train with the first team this morning on the Boleyn ground pitch, nor did he board the coach to Stoke which left East London early this afternoon.

Sources close to club have suggested the player has picked up a small knock but it will not affect his inclusion in France’s squad for UEFA Euro 2016 championships in France.

Payet has scored 9 goals and made 12 assists this season during his 30 league appearances for the Hammers this season. In all competitions he scored 12 goals and made 16 assists.

This could just be the difference between qualifying for Europe or not !

Our destiny is in our hands. With solid defence we have a chance. I hope Slav will set up us well.

  • IronHammer says:

Oh no.. Small knock? I hope its true and not an excuse for some discipline reasons..

Time to move Antonio up front and give Tonks his chance.

  • Radai Lama says:

Don’t worry yourself IronHammer I’m sure it is just a knock.I remember he got clattered by someone on Tuesday. It happens, knocks ain’t new.I’m sure not every time a player has a knock now it means he has punched Slav or shagged another players wife 🙂

Time for Lanzini to step up again, then. I’ll be there tomorrow, gutted I won’t see Payet.

Sometimes you have to get the job done without the top man.A bit like me missus when she does the Sunday roast when im down me local on a Sunday lunchtime. It is never as good without me top tips on how to do it I shout from the settee 🙂

  • StanThe Man says:

I can tell you why.Because Sakho & Carroll are injury prone & when your alternative is Emenike then that should explain it all.It would also be nice to have a clinic finisher up top who doesn’t miss one on ones like Carroll did when he looked like a Sunday parks player on Tuesday.

According to the official website only Adrian is missing .
This was updated at 15.33 so should of been pretty accurate.
    Is club spin?

The yellow Lamborghini is the reason payet has done so well for us this year. Because the driver of a car like that is not someone who likes to keep a low profile. This is someone who thrives on love and attention and he’s got that in spades this year from Bilic and staff. Teammates and fans alike. What’s more payet deserves a car like that. It suits him. Put any other West Ham player behind the wheel of that car and I’m not quite sure they could carry it off.

Even if he was unavailable we have a lot of attacking talent and we have no option but to try and win the game, so no matter what I am hopeful of a positive result COYI!!!

  • bubs says:

    Step up Lanzini,
Back to Valencia and Sakho up top
    Obiang in the middle
    Well that’s my choice

  • markro says:

Just read that he wasn’t at training because his son was unwell and that he could still make the Stoke match.

    I hope this is true!

    Good luck today lads.
Just got the news Man UTD have delayed their kick off time , wonder why, is it to give them an advantage over us and Man City ?
The FA need to delay the kick offs for us and Man City to even things out.
Fine the buggars big time too, there is not one rule for the Mancs and another for the rest.
Hope they get stuffed big time , today and Saturday.
FA act now or forever been seen as bowing down to the Mancs.
