The £2,500 cost of following West Ham pre-season

|

Those wishing to attend all of West Ham five pre-season friendlies will need to shell out £175 on tickets and more than £2,000 more on flights and accommodation as the Hammers play in Austria as well as Nanjing and Shanghai in China.

A return flight to Austria in mid-July will cost around £200 while overnight stay in a hotel will cost £100 per night.

A return trip to China will cost £1,000 with a flight from London to Nanjing costing £450, a fast train to Shanghai at £30 then a flight home to London another £450. A visa will cost you around £125 and a cheap hotel room will cost you £40 per night in either city for 5 nights.

So a tour of West Ham’s pre-season friendlies tickets, flights and accommodation will cost at least £1,900 excluding transfers, food and spending money. You have to be talking about £2,500 at the very minimum on a very frugal budget to follow the Hammers this summer abroad and at home before the kick off of the Premier League season 10th August.
