Evidently not content with the idea of bringing Reiss Nelson from Arsenal, West Ham are reported as continuing to seek out other options to add to their threadbare squad in the last week of the summer window. Which, considering the winger’s injury record, would surely seem wise as the fringe Gunners player has made just eighteen first team starts in six years at North London.
Despite reports that a deal is ready to go, evidently the Hammers are still looking for better options.

Hence the report concerning Leeds’ Belgian winger Largie Ramazani – two years Nelson’s junior and a whole world better in terms of injury record – and one who can play across the whole front line if required.
According to Valencia FC expert Journalist Nacho Sanchis:
“Leeds is asking for 4M + % of future sale The Belgian has West Ham, Burnley, and an Italian team willing to buy him, but he wants to wait in case VCF [Valencia – hence the Spanish journalist] sells André.
Leeds are prepared to part with Ramzani but only via a permanent sale

Which could be right up West Ham’s alley with sufficient cash to burn after the Diouf deal to go and grab a winger who could bolster their squad options nicely.
Whether the player can be convinced to join Nuno’s ‘project’ is another issue – but the absence of any other Premier League team sniffing around, for once, could make this a low-profile, high common sense transaction ahead of deadline day. And simply because it isn’t Reiss Nelson, it gets the thumbs-up from me.
Have one eye on our future . What would life look like if we did win promotion and how do we stay there with championship players who are unable to be sold to make funds available to buy the standard of player needed to survive in the premiership .

More important than how many first team appearances Nelson made for Arsenal is how many times he turned out at any level.

Sounds reasonable value and a decent bet for the championship. It does make you wonder what is going on with the finances though, all this money coming in and still Engels is the only significant investment we have made. I hear we are after Wiley from Chelsea as a replacement for Diouf, another cheapish deal. Are we saving up our pennies for a decent centre half perhaps? More likely we will settle for an experienced old hand which to be fair will probably benefit us this season. All makes sense for a tilt at promotion but we are not necessarily investing for the long term.

Hopefully we wont sign nelson from arsenal that would be a step backwards its the sort of waste of money that was regular when sulivain was adding players we are a big club with loyal supporters we should be only intrested in quality players not ones with a very very poor injury record its why arsenal want him gone its time for the board to show ambition not sniffing around players players that have seen better days being polite

Would be perfect if could sign him, he would fit right in with the likes of Orford, Engels, Mukasa… looks as if can score with both feet and he seemed quick enough.
