Tribute to Hammers Hero

|

Friend of Claret and Hugh, Canning Town Len is auctioning a special painting this weekend.

Len told CandH: “In 1979, I reckon I was drawing or painting Trevor Brooking more than anyone else – he’s probably the person who I have drawn most, still to this day.”

“When I painted his portrait depicted in 1979, I was pretty chuffed that Ian Morgan from E13 Events asked Trevor to sign it for me – especially since he has been knighted – Let’s be honest, I expect he is the only Knight of the British Empire whom I will ever paint!”

“As usual, studio expenses have forced me to sell an asset. I can’t complain though, as it is for some production expenses for my next West Ham film”

“I’m looking forward to getting the film done and dusted, so I can paint more and more. The more I paint, the cheaper the paintings will be for customers. I’m sure people will want paintings more than prints.”
