Report: Payet flies to France for medical

|

PayetmiserySky Sports are claiming Dimi Payet is flying to France to complete a medical saying that a deal has been done for £25m with Marseille.

Just after 11am on Sunday Sky reported: “West Ham have agreed a deal to sell Dimitri Payet to Marseille for £25m, according to Sky sources. Payet is currently travelling to France for a medical to complete the transfer to the Ligue 1 club. The fee for the player is understood to be £25m and the acceptance of the deal brings to an end a long-running and occasionally controversial transfer saga”

Yesterday a senior club source ClaretandHugh that the Hammers rejected a £24m offer plus add-ons with our source telling us they told Marseille “It’s not enough – come back with something better.”

It is possible the £25m fee is just the initial fee and doesn’t include any add-ons but we are attempting to verify the Sky report with various sources and will update this story again later as soon as we know more.

Yes it is now time to bring this sorry saga to an end.I hope your headlines will do this story justice Sean.A story like this is clickbait manor from heaven.Dont miss the opportunity Lol

  • GW says:

Good riddance frenchie you got what you wanted and no doubt you’ll be pining for Manchester in the summer 🙂

  • essexclarets says:

£25m is nowhere near his true value, hopefully the add-ons will be enough to push it up to at least £30m. If not then the club will lose a certain amount of credibility after reports of “Payet will not be leaving on the cheap” then just before the window closes they back down & give in..
Come on SuGo prove you have the balls to back up your promise….

  • pidge22 says:

We sold Payet for 25 million & we paid £20 million for Ayew……great business !!

  • theboysafool says:

Lets hope the chubby little rat doesn’t fail the medical! Oh the irony!

  • Radai Lama..Out of contract & available says:

Tbh i couldn’t give a sh*t whether its 25m or 35m.The money involved in football these days makes it trivial in many ways.Just get him off our books & be done with the Fat Frog.

  • WHUPete says:

Would have liked to have seen him rot away and get even fatter but the reality is he needed to be sold and let’s face it £25 mil is a fantastic price for a 29/30year old player not to mention the add ons and the estimated £7+ mil sell on clause, and it stands to reason OM will sell him in a season or two to the Chinese to recoup some the dosh they’ve spent.
Anyway Dimi thanks for the memories now p*ss off back mediocrity where you were before you came to West Ham. COYI ⚒⚒⚒

  • Hammer And Pickle says:

Thats his career back to mediocrity then.A no mark for 10 years..one season of brilliance..now back to playing in a mediocre league. How long before he becomes Marseilles problem child.

    • blackfit18 says:

What a bargain. Nice job Marseille.

      • kevin says:

Wouldn’t call it a bargain . He will only cause more problems . The first chance he gets to screw some soft club or manager he will be putting in a transfer request .
His career could be well and truly over . There is not a single club in Britain that would take him if he fails in France . Hey , he wasn’t really that special anyway . The odd free kick and a few dinks doesn’t a great plYer make .
A great player shows commitment to the team and club and fans , winning Thier respect through thick and thin .
PAYET is the model of selfish disrespect that normal everyday football fans loathe .
Getting transferred or wishing to climb the ladder is one thing but , refusing to play and not putting in a shift through sheer disregard for the very people that put you on the map is another matter altogether .
Personally, I hope his future is cocked up .

  • WHUPete says:

By the way does anyone know if the Dave’s have demanded the £1 mil loyalty bonus back of the fat greedy frog?

  • Hammer And Pickle says:

I wouldnt have thought so pete.It was probably all structured in his contract i expect.
Interesting to see how some fans are more or less saying you should turn a blind eye to his conduct & only thank him for his season with us.I remember when Amalifitano only had a bust up with Bilic and his name became mud. What Le Sulk had done is far worse but we should thank him without ill feeling.Pleease give it a rest.

  • Coolio says:

He can **** off & good riddance. If the snow whites want to only praise him good luck.Isnt it normally the high horse fans do that anyway. The same with BFS with their i only want to thank him ********!!

  • blackfit18 says:

    Marseille won the Champions League.
West Ham wants to avoid relegation.

    • kevin says:

With Payet we were going nowhere . He was stopping other players with quality from strutting Thier stuff . It has been demonstrated with obvious diplomb during our last few games . As a team committed to playing the game Payet was nowhere nor showed any interest . I think we could have had a good run at the Wembley Road this season and finish midd-table with a committed and constant performance . Payet stifled that with his attitude .
The players are angry , the fans are angry , and the Management should earnestly more than just a little angered when you consider the faith and commitment they gave him .

  • Radai Lama..Out of contract & available says:

They won it in 1993,what the f*ck has that got to do with now.Aston Villa & Forest both won the European Cup does it mean Payet should have signed for them.Go back to your caravan pikey boy 😂😂

    • blackfit18 says:

Marseille are the rivals of PSG and compete in one of the greatest stadiums in the world.
West Ham are the rivals of Millwall and compete in a taxpayer stadium

      ALLEZ L’OM

      • Coolio says:

Rivals to PSG.Are you joking. You are fifth in the league behind some nobody team called Guingamp & have a Swansea reject Gomis as your striker. To go with all the other PL rejects you had to sign because you are ****.

        • blackfit18 says:

Gomis have scored 13 goals. On the other hands, your strikers have scored… wait, do you even have a striker?

          • Dunlopilo says:

Tu dis des âneries. I saw Marseille playing at Montpellier in November. They were badly beaten 3-1, showing nothing, with Rudy Garcia not knowing what to do, a defence that looked like a group of amateurs, a goalkeeper that looked like a third division player, and a group of sore losing supporters who started throwing firecrackers on the pitch because they were losing.

Evra is past it, Gomis is close to the end, Payet might have moments of brilliance but will sink in mediocrity again, the only one who is a light of hope is Samson, who OM stole from Montpellier. Un peu moins de fanfaronnades SVP.

  • kevin says:

He should be forced to pay back the ” loyalty ” payment , which of course means nothing to him now nor ever ever did . Phuck’im.

  • HammerJeff says:

    Kicked Blackfit! Au revoir

  • Radai Lama..Out of contract & available says:

Lol Jeff. You have spoilt all the Spuds hard work he had put in googling facts on Marseille before he came on here 😂

  • TRB says:

‘We’re not going to sell our best players on the cheap!’

West Ham United………..About two weeks ago.

  • Radai Lama..Out of contract & available says:

Well we aint. With all the additional bits & pieces that are believed to be in the contract we could have a good deal for a near 30yr old who has had one exceptional season in his whole career. You spend too much time holding that half empty glass TRB 😉

  • West Ham Fan No 32 says:

Don’t count your Kentucky fried chickens too soon he has to pass a medical and with his fat little belly that may be a struggle, it would be hilarious if OM said he failed the medical hahaha
