Hammers say Ayew sale now “likely”

|

HugillAndrew Ayew this afternoon appears to be on the road to Swansea.

The misfit Hammer has been the subject of an £18 million bid from his former club and looks all but certain to make a Liberty Stadium return.

The Hammers board have been holding out for more than the £16m plus extras on offer until yesterday but the Swans are now believed to have upped the offer by £2 million and we understand the player left training today and headed off immediately for Wales.

A senior course inside the London Stadium revealed the move is now very likely amid reports that Preston North End striker Jordan Hugill (above) is on his way to London for a medical at the Irons.

The striker is very much a David Moyes “pick” and has scored eight league goals and two in Cup competitions helping PNE  to nine place in the Championship – three outside the play offs.

  • Hammerkip says:

This is a new low sell ayew 18 mil buy Preston forward for 9 mil lol this next level is great

  • West Ham Fan No 32 says:

Can’t disagree with offloading Ayew, statistically though before Arnie and Lanzini’s recent form he was our most creative player, hopefully he will not make us pay by firing Swansea up the league.

  • Hammerkip says:

    I agree its painful

  • ahammer says:

I don’t mind Hugill, at least the owners are planning ahead for the championship next year

  • Mr Buddy Lurve says:

The only ‘next level’ at our club right now is the moaning and complaining!! Ayew didn’t fit at West Ham, and while he seems like a nice guy, nobody will mourn his move. Tick.

Unless you’re the most ardent of football fans, I daresay you have far less of an idea about Hugill than our scouts, manager and owners, so why not stop polluting the internet with constant negativity and wait and see?

Unless you want to put your own money up. Ridiculous people!
