David Moyes on why he signed Patrice Evra

|
David Moyes says he considered Patrice Evra in January after losing Arthur Masuaku to suspension.
The West Ham manager told reporters this afternoon: “I’d considered him during January, especially after Arthur was suspended. I was looking at other players and then after the window closed I could get it done.I know what Pat will bring.
“His level of professionalism is as good as anybody’s and his quality is there. He has played at the top level and hopefully, it will rub off on everybody.”

“We’ve needed him for cover and we have nobody else if we lost Aaron Cresswell. We’ve got him here to play. Hopefully, we’ll get him ready as quickly as we possibly can.

“There is a chance he can feature this weekend. He’s not far away. He played in November for Marseille and has been training, so sometimes getting players in as quickly as possible is the best thing you can do.”
