CandH FB Group member Sergey Novysh hands out his marks on today’s performance from the boys.
Hart: Didn’t have to make a single save. Yet, didn’t make any mistakes and kept a clean sheet.
Zabaleta: Very good performance. Made a few decent interceptions and long passes. Lacks pace going forward, but defensively has been solid. 8

Rice: Played with real confidence and class. Deserves to be a starter. 8

Ogbonna: Best defensive display I’ve seen from Oggy for a very long time. Numerous interceptions, tackles and blocks. Near-perfect play. 9

Cresswell: Great link-up play with Mario and Masuaku. Made one silly mistake in front of goal, but compensated it with thunderous strike from outside the box which hit the crossbar. 8
Masuaku :  We’ve missed his pace and creativity for too long. Incredible skills at times, genius ball to Arnie, which led to goal. He really bossed his flank. 9

Antonio: Got injured early, looked lively until then. No rank

Kouyate: Was massively involved in two goals today. Played with passion and desire. Made numerous runs and won most tackles. Been literally everywhere.
Noble: Just what you want from a skipper. 110% performance. Gave everything tonight. Fought hard for every ball, been rock solid and creative at times.
Joao Mario: MOTM for me. This fella possesses some skills: his dribbles, corners, long range passes are fabulous, but WHAT A GOAL that was. Didn’t mind to track back and help defense either. Best performance in Hammers shirt so far. 9

Arnautovic: The thing I like most bout Arnie is his attitude – he never gives up. Even after missing a sitter he will continue to run, press, shoot and finally score. He insisted to stay on the pitch today after an injury scare and he scored a brace. His crossed hammers celebrations will become legendary one day. 9
