Every Hammer gets their seasonal rating

|

CandH new boy Josh Southon gives his verdict on the performances of those who have worn the claret and blue at some stage this season

Fabianski: Easily the player this season and clear Hammer of the Year. Class in excess 9

Zabaleta: A crucial part of the team since he arrived and absolutely nothing bad to say about him at all. 7

Balbuena: Despite a four month injury showed he was as good after as before with a series of excellent performances 7

l

Diop: Remarkable first season and a great player with a lot more in his locker 8

Fredericks: Real bright future ahead of the former Fulham man. Magnificent on Saturday and improving by the game. 7

Cresswell: Not the player he was and has been forced to fight it out with Arthur for his place 6

Masuaku: If the real Arthur turns up in the wide left sided role you have a player and a half but it ain’t always so 6

Johnson: Excellent debut against Man City No rating

Ogbonna: Has had his weak moments but shown his worth on various occasions – scored and claimed assist. 6.

Rice: Not much more can be said about the man regularly dubbed the “next Bobby Moore” Top performances week in week out and there’s so much more to come 9

Noble:  Had his poor moments but looks quality of late and in a Pellegrini side his passing is a big asset 7

Obiang: Finishing well but there has been some pretty average stuff thrown in along the way 6

Yarmolenko: Looked really exciting on his limited appearances before injury No rating

Anderson: Cracking purchase last window and has lived up to the £35m . Scored 10 goals this season with numerous assists, exceptional player overall 8

Lanzini: Glimpses of some of that old form but not enough of it yet. We’ll see where we really are next season 6

Nasri: Only half a dozen appearances but always special when he’s on the pitch 6

Wilshere: Simply haven’t seen enough of him to give a rating

Sanchez: Ditto above

Snodgrass: The Scot has done so well to bounce back from his Villa exile and has rarely let the team down 7

Diangana: Arrived from nowhere and hasn’t looked at all out of place in the big leage. Potential unlimited 6

Perez : With six goals to his name he has certainly been worth the minor £4 million investment. Possibly under-rated 6

Antonio: Got better and better as the season went buy and now at the peak of his form – he is going nowhere 7

Arnautovic : Still our best striker but returning to his highly energetic and highly threatening best 7

Chicharito: Very hit and miss season despite nine goals. Body language not the best at times and a player who doesn’t give the impression he’s really up for it. 5

Carroll: What can we say that hasn’t been said before? Poor poor season, give thanks it’s over once and for all 3

    Carroll?

  • West Ham Fan No 32 says:

Would give Zaba, Noble and Balbuena 8, Chicharito 7 but other than that completely agree COYI !!!

  • Hamptonese says:

Agree with most of these ratings though would have given Diop a 7 due to some dodgy form earlier in the season especially defending set-pieces. Chicarito 6 and Carroll 4 for me.
