Back to business and this Iron MUST start

|

Lanzini – Still a massive talent – must play today from the start

Thankfully the football can start talking again today after a week when the world and his wife have been discussing events entirely unrelated to the game.

Everybody knows where they are with that and not a single voice has been raised in anything but protest and shock.

Now, though. it’s back to the business of staying in the top four and we need a Hammers performance such as we became used to earlier in the season.

For me that means Manu Lanzini absolutely MUST start and hopefully in a free role – he was the difference against Watford and if we can see Mikey sparking again as a result of the playmaker’s creativity we are really in business.

Recent first halves have brought back memories of some of the desperately slow starts made by  Bilic and Pellegrini teams.

Today we need to get away brightly with no initiatives being offered to a Foxes team that really is struggling by their own standards.

I hope too there is room for Ben Johnson in front of Cress as that gives our main attacking flank real threat.

Here’s my team and prediction: Fabianski; Coufal, Zouma, Dawson, Cresswell; Rice, Soucek; Bowen, Lanzini, Fornals, Antonio.

Foxes 0 Hammers 2
