Beter news on key injury victms

|
Manuel Pellegrini has given an update on the injury situation and Jack Wilshere remains on the missing list.
The manager steered well clear of the speculation surrounding his job and was in no mood to give much away om his team selection plans at his pre-match presser.
But news of Wilshere’s position will have come as no surprise to anybody although the manager didn’t explain what the specific problem might be – sickness or injury.
Very odd .
He chose too to make no mention of the goalkeeping position where – given recent disasters – David Martin is being widely tipped to take over from Roberto who looked utterly petrified throughout last week’s match against Spurs.
Elsewhere the news was pretty positive although none of it is going to help us at Chelsea on Saturday although we can only hope that Michail Antonio has enough training and game time under his belt to play a full part  in proceedings
Pellegrini is reported at https://www.whufc.com/news/articles/2019/november/28-november/it-happened-manuel-pellegrinis-pre-chelsea-press-conference as saying: “Jack Wilshere continues with some problem. I hope that next week he will start working with the squad.
Lukasz Fabianski continues with recovery from surgery. Manuel Lanzini just started working yesterday on the pitch but he needs at least one month more without any problems with his shoulder – he cannot have any contact so needs at least one month more.
Winston Reid is playing 90 minutes with the U23s, so next week he will start working with us.
“The diagnosis of Fabianski is clear – after you have surgery, you need some amount of time to recover. We will see what the doctors say – the first date that was around was about Christmas, but we cannot give you an exact date.”
