Bobby Moore family run cancelled at short notice

|

The annual Bobby Moore family foundation family fun run scheduled for this Bank holiday Monday has been cancelled at short notice.

Two days ago organisers posted a message to say  “Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances, we’ve had to postpone the Moore Family Fun Run scheduled for Monday 7 May. We’ll have a new date confirmed in the next 30 days!”

The run now in its fourth year allowed participants to complete either a 5k or 10k route around Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in order to aid the Foundation’s support of vulnerable primary and secondary school pupils across Barking & Dagenham, Newham, Thurrock and Tower Hamlets.
The Moore Family Foundation was founded by Bobby Moore’s daughter Roberta Moore and is an official charity of the club. The news comes weeks after the Great Newham Run popular with West Ham Supporters was also cancelled due to a lack of available weekends at the London Stadium.
