Bowen for England beckons but Ten Haag is right

|

It is seriously difficult to disagree that Premier League players are facing far too many games these days and despite Erik Ten Haag’s moans and groans he is right.

We face yet another dreaded international break after the next couple of games which has ruled out the one time idea that a mid winter break was required for players.

Whilst the Manchester United manager can be accused of sour grapes he has since been joined by the Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi who has claimed much the same.

With the clubs having played only eight games and getting into swing – as is the case with the Hammers  – the break will be the last thing we need when it strips clubs of their best players and offers the threat of injury.

We seem likely to lose Jarrod Bowen this time around such is his form although Gareth Southgate does of course have some strange selection ideas.

Former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has called for the World Cup to be held every two years which is a totally absurd idea in our opinion.

England’s games include a friendly against Australia and the only question one can ask is why?

It’s nice to pokle fun and Ten Haag but in my view he ain’t wrong.
