Bowen gets another chance

Jarrod Bowen gets another chance to show what he can do in an England shirt later this month when yet another international break – the third of the season – gets underway.

The Hammers No 20 has been called up for his nation along with  three others Hammers for theirs and will be hoping and praying he sees more of the ball this time than he did during his run out last time.

Hopefully manager Gareth Southgate will tell his team mates to show him a lot more of the ball than he did against Australia last month when he was virtually totally ignored.

So far this season Jarrod has scored 10 goals and will believe he must have a chance of appearing against  wither Malta on the 17th at Wembley or against north Macedonia for their final game in the competition

Nayef Aguerd, Alphonse Areola, and thrilling Hammers stroking prospect Callum Marshall have also been called up by their countries. Aguerd will also be involved in international action, having been named in Morocco’s squad by manager Walid Regragui. The West Ham  central defender could be involved in  his 38th international appearance when the team travels to Tanzania in a FIFA World Cup qualifier on the 21st.

Elsewhere, Areola has also received a call-up for France’s squad for two UEFA Euro qualifiers across November U21s striker Marshall has also kept his place in the senior squad. He will be hoping for inclusion in games for Northern Ireland against Finland on the 17th and or Denmark on Monday 20 November at Windsor Park.
