Premier League striker Ivan Toney is back in the shop window after Brentford slashed his asking price according to Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg

Despite a goal drought in his last nine games and a disappointing overall season, Toney’s price tag has been significantly reduced. This move is likely to ignite a bidding war amongst Premier League clubs.

Brentford had initially hoped to recoup a ridiculous £80 million for the 28-year-old striker, whose contract expires next year. However, with his contract situation weakening their bargaining position, a more realistic valuation became necessary.

The lowered price tag opens the door for a wider range of clubs to enter the race for Toney’s signature. A strong performance at Euro 2024 could further heighten his value.

West Ham, who were previously linked with Toney, are still considered the favourites to secure his services, while Arsenal have reportedly cooled their interest, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are also keeping tabs on Toney, adding further competition to the mix.

Despite the price reduction, Brentford remains confident of making a significant profit on Toney’s sale. His overall record of 36 goals and 10 assists in 82 Premier League appearances is a testament to his potential.

Overall, the lowered price tag for Ivan Toney has ignited a potential bidding war amongst Premier League clubs. West Ham remain the frontrunners, but Chelsea and Tottenham could also make a play for the striker.

Reveal the sources that say Brentford have lowered the price and calling £80 million
‘ridiculous’. Brentford have not slashed the price and the source is a blatant liar and who the hell would want to join West Ham as a forward step in their career?

£80million with 1 year left on his contract? He’s also 28, so no resale value. Please tell me, but what planet you on? Mate you clearly have spent too much time queuing at that bud stop in Hounslow.

    • El Nino IV says:

Does toney seem a 80m player to you?

Let’s be realistic, He isn’t worth more than 40m with or without the English tax.

If toney is 80m how much will Isak, haaland be worth?

Funny, I’ve read this article a couple of times and I still can’t find the bit where you tell us what the new price tag is! Or maybe it’s a sealed bid auction?

  • Max says:

Brentford have never put a price tag on Iban. He will simply go to the highest bidder that he is happy with as he can run down his contract and go for free.ivan wants to win medals and bees have already signed his replacement
