Tony Pulis has told Slaven Bilic he is the success story of the season.

The West Brom boss pits his wits against Super Slav at the Hawthorns on Saturday knowing he’s in for one of the toughest battles of the season.

Speaking exclusively to CandH he said: “What a team West Ham have become under Slaven – who apart from being a great manager – is a terrific man. He has real quality – a very good person indeed.

“He has produced exactly the right mix at the club – great players playing terrific football in front of a crowd who obviously think the world of him.

“If I’m honest I really didn’t expect him to be so successful in his first season – his has been a fantastic achievement.”

Pulis claims that the squad assembled is quite extraordinary with Dimi Payet taking the club to a different level declaring: “It was a fantastic summer for them and he has been one of the players of the season.

“Mind you Michail Antonio has been brilliant and represents a real handful to us or anyone else. This is going to be an incredibly difficult game for us – they have become a great team.”
