Claret and Hugh‘s  Danny Leach turns the PlayerWatch spotlight on Marko Arnautovic and what a performance the Austrian produced on his return from illness.

1 – Dribbles into the centre of midfield from left midfield after beating and shrugging off at least three opposition players. He then plays a good pass out wide to Diangana
2 – Just about controls the ball after a bad pass by Zabaleta. He then plays it quickly to Diangana on the edge of the area
4 – He is tackled by after a heavy first touch on the edge of the area
5 – Confronts defender after a very dangerous tackle on Obiang
10 – GOAL – 1-0: He nicks the ball on the edge of the area before running round defender and scoring in the bottom corner
18 – Dummies a pass from Diangana on the edge of the area to let the ball run through to Obiang
19 – Plays a one-two with Anderson on the edge of the box who slips him through in front of goal but his left foot shot is saved by Hart
32 – Anderson plays him a through ball on the left hand side of the box but the low cross is blocked
50 – Receives the ball from Cresswell’s throw in before cutting inside on the edge of the box and playing a great ball out wide to Zabaleta
54 – A dangerous shot from 35 yards is saved
75 – Tracks back and puts in a strong tackle at right back on Brady
79 – Plays a through ball to Anderson in the area the area but his effort just curls wide
84 – GOAL – 3-2: His shot is deflected on the edge of the area but the ball falls to Anderson who finishes off the chance
90 – He is subbed for Ogbonna in order for help kill the game

Verdict – 8 – A great game for Arnautovic who was the focal point of attack always putting Burnley’s defenders in trouble. His hold up and link up play in the final third with our attacking trio was immense at times as always. His goal was also much needed to open the scoring and demonstrating his desire and determination in the process.
