|

West Ham remain in 15th place tonight but Bournemouth, in making themselves all but safe, did us a massive goal difference boost by smashing Leeds United 4-1.

Lerne – with goals in the 20th and 24th minutes – Solanke in the 62nd minute and Semenyo in second half extra time were responsible for the Cherries goals with Bamford grabbing a Leeds consolation in the 32nd minute.

Meanwhil up at Newcastle, bottom side Southampton provided an early shock for the home side scoring late in the first half but the Geordies hit back with three in the second 45 minutes twice through Wilson and Armstrong.

The defeat ensureĀ  Saints remain bang bottom with a total of 24 points from 34 games. Everton travel to Leicester City tomorrow as the teams second and third off bottom battle it out,
