Javier Hernandez has been laid up with a mystery virus at home for the past ten days and has not trained. Yesterday Manuel Pellegrini told reporters “The team news is that Javier Hernandez is sick, he has had a virus for around ten days, he has not worked for ten days, he is at home.”
Hernandez has just one goal in five appearances so far this season and is struggling to nail down a spot in Manuel Pellegrini’s side, his only goal coming against ten men league one AFC Wimbledon in the EFL league cup, a game in which he was accused of diving.
Chicarito insists he is enjoying life under previously telling WHUFC.com “We are playing with a winning mentality and playing very offensive and attacking football. That’s what the manager loves and, talking about myself as a striker, I love it when a manager comes and creates that sort of atmosphere, telling every player to be confident with the ball. I definitely feel things are coming together.”
