West Ham’s Fan Advisory Board (FAB) meet with the club this evening with West Ham Vice Chairman Karren Brady in attendance.
At the end of August, the FAB wrote to the board in a letter of no confidence.
Thousands of West Ham fans staged a protest against the club’s board before their Premier League match against Crystal Palace in September and boycott against Brentford last Monday was also part of their protest campaign. Future plans include a sit in at the next home game against Newcastle United and a further protest at the following home game against Burnley.
The FAB asked the club seven questions at their last meeting in September and this meeting aims to address to seek answers on those queries.
- Leadership & Governance
- Question: When will the Club move to a professional governance model (CEO + Director of Football with autonomy)?
- Financial Strategy & PSR Failures
- Question: What credible financial strategy will prevent further PSR breaches and enable consistent squad investment?
- Commercial & Stadium Strategy
- Question: How will the Club balance revenue generation with fan experience, inclusion, and equality?
- Heritage & Culture
- Question: Where is our heritage and why has it not been displayed seven years since the written commitment by the board was made?
- Strategic Vision
- Question: What is the five-year vision for West Ham United on and off the pitch?
- Fan Relations & Trust
- Question: What structural changes will ensure genuine, timely and meaningful supporter engagement in future decision-making?
- Squad Matters
- Question: What is the long-term footballing vision for recruitment, youth development, and European competitiveness?
The club is dying on its feet and I fear for the future, relgation this season could result in the same the following season. Its happened to other Premier league sides, West Ham are a shambles at moment
sadly i cant take part in any demonstrations as i live on the wirral.i would need to take out a mortgage to get to london by train and book at least two months in advance but boy am i there in spirit.sadly some of these activities/stunts tactics wont change anything.in fact a sit in is a bit juvenile to be honest.when you start a campaign you have to be at it every day not once in a blue moon.endorse some of those so called celebrities to get on board.start lobbying west ham sponsers.start holding events.get in the news.start getting interviews get the message out.stop fannying around having pointless meetings with some board members is way to early.why should they go or change tactics?
at this stage of the game they are laughing at the so call demands being made.demanding they go or give up control at this point is hopeless.put an advert in a paper with a large distribution requesting any potential buyers to make contact explaining what west ham is and what they would gain.who am i? i am a lifelong west ham supporter who was on the pitch after the everton game at home in early 90s protesting against the bond scheme.the only way the custodians will leave is wiift.whats in it for them.they have to believe its their idea and a good move for them.then sorry to say it no guarantee of anything better taking over.but yes i know in my heart if this continues west ham as we know it is finished.if i can help in any way please give my email geoffreyrisley@gmx.co.uk to the organisers.
west ham for life.became a hammer 1st january 1972
Brady was instrumental in moving us to the London Stadium, changed our club badge (both our heritage), has failed to secure commercial partnerships capable of improving our PSR situation, will not be in favour of a CEO & Director of Football as this will result in her dismissal and Sullivan unable to use Salthouse for recruitment. Brady was unable to attract investors and was instrumental in hiring Potter.
Basically she is the problem not the solution and never says anything that merits her continuing at West Ham.
Sullivan would be wise to scapegoat Brady like he has the managers selected by them both and get rid of her ASAP!
Answers will be
1. Never
2. We are in charge and you lot need to shut up
3. You really think we care about your experiences inside the bowl?
4. We sold our heritage along with any vestige of caring about the clubs history 10 long years ago, and the fans need to shut up and move on
5. A strategic vision, what’s that?
6. You think we are ever going to actually change, more fool you
7. Ascribing the notion of a footballing vision to us is somewhat laughable as we haven’t got a bloomin clue, if you want evidence of that just look at the last 4 managers and ask yourselves have any of them had the same distinct vision or have they all been freebies as that’s all we care about? On the recruitment side you’ve all seen how brilliant sulli is at that particular job and he has decided he, and he alone will be in total control (along with prefered agents, of course) so in January look out for 30+ players who have a terrible injury record but were once decent and you lot will be really grateful
Heritage & Culture Question: Where is our heritage and why has it not been displayed seven years since the written commitment by the board was made?
It should be able to give a definite answer on this, where is it and when will it be on display. Anyone remember Browns Boat ? Most contentious at the time. What happened to that ?
The reason 7 years on nothing has happened is Brady doesn’t care what matters to the fans and never will.
She is a sycophant that is loyal to her master and is a self serving waste of space!
No other football club (not owned by Sullivan) would ever consider her for a role within their Leadership Team.
Do we have to wait for the club to “approve” the minutes of the meeting before the rest of us find out “some” information about the contents of the meeting as per the last one?
Question 1. When are you going to do everyone a favour and finally leave West Ham?
No more questions.
Spot on 👏👏👏👏
I like the agenda & fingers crossed we will get some promising answers. I fully support the protests but please no more boycotts. At these difficult times the team needs support and boycotting the game clearly affected the players so please no more boycotting. Seats have been paid for so the club have received this money but the players need the crowd’s vocal support please⚒️🤞👍
Nunos tactics upset the players clearly. The player rarely hear or can see the fans, they look like birds in the sky such is the rubbish stadium.
