Delight as Irons duo close in on England

|

NobleDavid Gold – speaking on behalf of the fans everywhere – is thrilled to see Mark Noble and Andy Carroll close in on possible European Finals squad places.

England manager Roy Hodgson named the pair on his standby list as possible replacements should any of the front line players become injured over the last one or two games or in training.

And Gold declared: “At long last the pair are getting close to what they deserve. Mark has been playing some of the best football of his career. His passing has been of the highest quality and is among the goals.

People have been calling for him to receive an international call-up for a long time and it’s great that he is now so close. It could be a really inspirational thing for him as we go into tonight’s match and the last game oft he season.”

Slaven-Bilic-Andy-Carroll-Football365DG is particularly pleased though that AC is has been called onto the standby list as he has been a constant ally of the big man.

He said: “There’s only one player in the country like Andy and that’s Andy – he gives the manager entirely different option and I really hope he squeezes into things – along with Mark of course.

“He’s taken a terrific amount of stick down the months from media, on some occasions fan and of course the social networks like a lot of us.

“This is a half reward and it will mean the world to him. I couldn’t be more pleased for him because of the incredible long road he has trodden. It’s good  news for both of them, the club and our fans.”
