Exciting Hammer back in training next week

West Ham’s exciting young Portuguese striker Xande Silva will return to training on Monday after recovering from an ankle injury.

The 1.6 million euros striker – a summer buy – received rave reports in his opening games for the club when he hit a hat-trick in his first game as the team beat Spurs on their own manor 3-1.

He followed up with another strike against Manchester City in the 4-6 reverse in the next game and a further goal  against Arsenal next time out but has since been out injured with a bad hamstring injury.

He was thought to be on the fringe of the first team squad at that time but the injury has taken longer to recover from than at first imagined.

However, a senior source – phoned CandH today to explain that the striker would definitely be back in training on Monday, following another top Under 23 star winger Nathan Holland who has completed hos first week ‘s training since suffering an ankle injury.

Our source said: “It was a bad injury for Xande but he’s fine now and needs a couple of weeks training. The aim will be to get him back into the under 23s  for the game against Blackburn at Ewood Park on November 26.
