A Brazilian media outlet claims Flamengo’s technical director José Boto is spearheading the campaign to lure West Ham’s Lucas Paquetá home this January. The report claims that Boto has been in ‘constant dialogue’ with the midfielder’s representatives, determined to make the emotional reunion happen.

Important to state clearly – latest reports that Hammers’ ace Lucas Paqueta will be returning to Brazil this winter have been completely rubbished by a transfer source close to the player.

Yet again Brazilian press outlet Bolavip have reported Flamengo’s pursuit of their former player, but the transfer source laughed off the suggestion as ridiculous and having no element of reality.

Brazil calling – Paquetá heading home this winter?

Paqueta, who graduated from Flamengo’s youth ranks, made 60 senior appearances for the Brazilian club, scoring 15 goals before his move to Milan in 2019 for €38.4m

A transfer source close to the player, speaking exclusively to Claret and Hugh this morning, said, “It’s total bullsh*t. You might as well say Haaland is going to West Ham on loan”

The way he is playing if was offered £30m would get shot, he has been rubbish since his court case was settled. For a player of his ability he should be having more of an effect much more often in games. He is capable of grabbing a game by the scruff of the neck and dictating play though all too often we see him giving the ball away cheaply in dangerous positions or throwing himself to the ground. We should be looking to move him on and get as much as we can for doing so.

      Spot On
We had another Brazilian player Felipe Anderson who had bags of talent but like Paqueta would only turn it on when he fancied it.
