Club insiders have strongly denied that West Ham would sell Lucas Paqueta on the cheap after a Mail on Sunday article today suggested he could be sold for as little as £30m.

The Brazilian Hammer, who has endured almost two years of hell while under investigation, has been found not guilty of spot fixing with an official announcement expected early next week.

Yesterday, Claret and Hugh revealed it will now be up to Graham Potter and the player himself to decide his future at West Ham.

Speaking exclusively to Claret and Hugh this morning, our senior club source replied in response to the Daily Mail’s £30m claim, “We’d NOT sell him for that. Articles like the Mail really hurt us. We see him as a £60/70m player, or we keep him”

When asked about Paqueta’s situation live on TV in the US late last night, Graham Potter coyly replied, “I don’t know anything. I just know we have to support him. He has been through a long ordeal. He is a big personality in the group.”

Won’t sell on the cheap. 🤣🤣🤣. Like they wasn’t going to sell Mo Judus on the cheap.

    • Honest Hammer says:

Diaz has just gone for 65. Garnacho will go for less. Madueke 48. The club got what they could for Kudus bearing in mind there were NO other bids

Articles like the mails HURT US. Classic Sullivan language. May I suggest that you sir are the problem. Forcing us to sell players to buy. If last night showed anything to you, its time to drop the act and man up and get GP the players he needs.

    • Julian Woodhouse says:

Keep him this season. Free of the stink of scandal, let him get back to his best, see his value rise and then if he wants to leave let him. In this way we don’t need to try and find someone to fill his boots this season, we can try and bring a couple of the academy players along and identify the player we want to replace him ahead of season after next.we are struggling to get what we need as is, why make it tougher.

  • Hammer says:

Keep paqueta till January and his price will go up 15 million better for the club and the player for his next clubs wages will be greater due to a rejuvenated player

  • Dean says:

When we sell him, as we all know we will, they’ll be loads of cash that we can throw at mr silkman or mr salthouse clients and if they’re old, slow and injury plagued all the better eh Sean. I hope your mate knows how frustrated and angry many fans are with links to Wilson and with that abomination of a midfield we put out over night. We are staring at a relegation battle unless things dramatically change

Depending on what the manager’s plans are, I’d keep him. Sell some lesser players. He should be on fire next season and we could be in for a treat, and see his value rise. Then sell next summer.

    • Bennyboy baker says:

It was stated that we wouldn’t except a low offer for kudus yet we sold him to spurs of all clubs on the cheap and it will be the same with Paquetá they will get a offer which won’t be anything like what he should get and Sullivan will sell him and there lies the problem Sullivan and his bunch of clowns that own the club do everyone a favour sell up and get out

  • Jeeps says:

Even if £65/£70m is optimistic £40m is insufficient.
Little point him going to Man City with Doku/Marmoush/Haaland keeping Grealish out of the team.
His playing time could be restricted.
One thing (and maybe nothing else) whu can offer any probable players is playing time.

  • Devo's Tash says:

    Said that about Kudus.
