Felipe Anderson is delighted with the Everton win…chuffed for Yarmo…. but looking ahead and is totally focused on an even bigger victory against Chelsea at the weekend.

The Brazilian was in impressive form against Everton but said:  “We know that Chelsea will be very difficult and  we will prepare the tactics to be able to beat them. Then we’ll work all week to improve and get the three points.”

In an interview on the West Ham United app he told WHUFC’s Rob Pritchard after the Everton game: “We needed this victory.

“We suffered a bit in the games we lost, but we were united and we knew that victory would come. It was very important for us and we will continue looking for the wins because we know we have the quality to get them.

“When things go well, all the players participate and the win will give us more confidence. All the players played well and gave all their effort to get the result. We had some difficult moments, but luckily we got the victory.”

“I am very happy for Yarmolenko, who played his first game as a starter and scored two goals. Then Arnautovic gave us confidence in a difficult moment when the match was 2-1.

“So I’m very happy for all of them and we have to continue working very hard to maintain the good results. The victory is also for Pellegrini, who was able to celebrate [his birthday] with his family with three points.”
