FINALLY, Pellegrini gives credit where it’s due

|

Manuel Pellegrini has finally handed out the Christmas compliments our current top man deserves following his amazing recent performances.

Michail Antonio has been in totally stunning form for the Irons over recent games and it’s not an overstatement to say that since his return from an eight week lay off he has all but revolutionised the team.

Along the way it seems he has finally shown the boss that total commitment and a determination to hit oppositions where it hurts is as praiseworthy as the delicate creative players.

The manager always seems a tad reluctant to heap too much praise on him but has no trouble in expressing his admiration for such as Jack Wilshere.

Finally, however, magical Michail appears to have won him over after – for example – hearing him explain that Seb Haller’s performance at Southampton was more to do with him improving his game that being teamed with the ‘top man.’

The manager explained on https://www.whufc.com/news/articles/2019/december/23-december/pellegrini-its-important-find-consistency: “Antonio can play in both positions. He can play as a winger, but in this moment returning to play games after three months with an important injury in his muscle with surgery, maybe he’s not able to work in the wing so much at this moment.

“Right now he is working as a striker, he likes that position also, but he can do both. I think that it improved Sebastien’s performance at Southampton too.”

It is about time Pelle admitted-he made a really bad mistake when he insisted on giving Wilshere a three year deal when Sullivan said it should have been a one year deal only. This is not his only error his substitutions make you think he is watching another game the last game he took off a attacker & put on a defender not only that but It was Sanchez a totally inept defender and from the that moment on WH were on the back foot & were lucky to hold on to get the three points

We will need battlers against Palace . Too much pretty stuff won’t win the day . Just hope Pelligrini doesn’t do anything daft . Hodgson May be Old but his teeth are still as sharp as his mind .
