Former Hammer reveals new look on TV

|

Former Hammer Robert Green revealed a new look to viewers watching Sky Sports last night.

Times journalist Ben Machell wrote ‘Congratulations to everyone who had “Rob Green” on their “post-apocalyptic biker gang leader” sweepstake’

One viewer said: “Rob Green about to start his wrestling career.”

Another wrote: “I’m sorry to inform you that Rob Green has been possessed by the spirit of Lemmy from Motorhead.”

Green signed a four-year deal with West Ham United in 2006 where he teamed up with former Norwich striker, Dean Ashton who had been sold to West Ham in January 2006. Green made his debut for West Ham on 19 October 2006 in a 1–0 defeat against Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane.

The Chertsey-born shot-stopper and England international would go on to make 241 appearances for the club, keeping 62 clean sheets and playing over 21,000 minutes in an Irons shirt. In June 2012, having failed to agree new terms with West Ham at the end of his contract, Green’s departure from the club was announced.

Now aged 40 Green is said to be an art collector and dealer in his retirement.
