Former Hammer scores double on debut

freddieFormer Hammers striker Freddie Piquionne scored twice on his debut tonight for French Ligue 2 side US Creteil to help them to a 3-0 win, he was released by MLS side Portland Timbers in the summer where he managed one goal from 24 appearances in 18 months. The French striker has joined up with former Hammer Herita Ilunga when he signed for US Creteil four days ago.

Piquionne who cost West Ham around £1m from Portsmouth under Avram Grant made 62 appearances for the Hammers between 2010 and 2013 scoring nine goals. He scored his first Premier League goal for West Ham in a 1-0 win against Spurs on 25th September 2010. That  goal was also the 10,000th goal scored in the Premier League with a Nike football. He was released at the end of his three contract from West Ham.
