Former Hammers in Albion reunion

|

Julian Dicks has made his return to big time football rejoining Slaven at West Brom where most fans Irons fans will be following the Baggies progress with much interest.

It was always predictable that The Terminator would be involved in the Hawthorns set up once Slav became the new boss and has now quit his managerial role at non-League Heybridge Swifts to join his best mate and former team-mate.

Dicksie did a fabulous job at the Isthmian League team last season but had no hesitation in making the move into the Championship once Slav offered him the job.

Heyfleet  chairman Gary White said: “While we are disappointed to lose Julian after he did a superb job for our club last season, this opportunity is simply too good for him to miss.

“We all wish him well in his new role and thank him for doing such a terrific job after coming in following a disappointing run of league and cup results.”

It’s good to see the hard man back assisting as the club seeks to regain its Premier League status amid possible negotiations involving the Hammers who are keen to sign striker Salomon Rondon and perhaps sell the Baggies Reece Oxford.

We wish the two old mates all the best in their bid to lift Albion back to the top level.
