Areola:6 Furious with his defence when Jimenez scored for Fulham.

Wan Bissaka:5 Dominated by Iwobi at the start of the game. Much better in the second half with Kudus in front of him. Unfortunately had to move to the left on 57mins to cover Emersons injury.

Mavropanos:4 Horrendous for Fulham’s opener as he got the offside trap all wrong then failed to close down down Smith Rowe.

Kilman:6 Started the game with a marauding run forward which looks to be a big feature of his game. Lucky not to concede a penalty with a challenge on Traore. Lost Jimenez for the first goal.

Emerson:4 Tough day at the office against Traore. Injured.

Rodriguez:5 Overrun in midfield.

Alvarez:6 Great player but always on the edge and gave the ball away unnecessarily by passing across goal. Some nice touches on occasion but wasn’t helped by the tactics and starting line-up.

Soucek:3 Played far more in attack than in midfield but was a hindrance when trying to linkup play. Hoofed a shot high wide and handsome.

Bowen:7 Once again was anonymous the start of the game. Looked like different player up front and was unlucky not to score following a great first touch and some nifty footwork. Excellent cut-back injury time supplied the ball for Ings.

Fulham 1-1 West Ham: Bowen had to be patient

Kudus:6 Worked so hard to help out Emerson. Looked more of a threat in the second half as did most of the team.

Antonio:3 Off the pace which was no surprise given his international travels.

Substitutes:

Summerville:5 Half time double substitution saw the former Leeds man replace Antonio. Started brightly but faded.

Paqueta:6 On for Soucek. Immediately improved West Ham’s passing game.

Coufal:5 Replaced Emerson on 57 mins.

Soler:4 69 mins replacement for Rodriguez. Could have been sent off for two yellow cards.

Ings:8 81st min sub for Alvarez as Lopetegui chased the game. No real chance to impress until his neat footwork and smart finish scored the equaliser.

How we are going to regret not buying Duran, Sullivan penny pinching again, the 20 year old scoring wonder goals, our 31 year old injured & goalless

  • John says:

The manager should give lnges a chance to see what he can do for us as a team he still has what it takes 😉

  • ricardo says:

A bit harsh on Mavropanos, besides his mistakes he also made valid contributions. WH generally lacked precision in its game, we lost possession too often. A golden point (what a relief in the end!). A good thing that Ings decided to stay.

  • Lee K says:

Antonios been off the pace all season so cant blame international call up

  • Zahama says:

Perhaps Ings will turn out to be our top scorer this season ? I am sure he feels that he has a point to prove

Hopefully vs Chelsea we will start playing in the first half

  • Dartmoor Mushroom says:

Blimey , some seriously poor ratings, how the heck did it end in a draw ?
Thank goodness for Ings, never thought I’d say that . COYI.

  • Spindoc says:

But I can’t resist. He has completely lost his pace , strength and confidence and he can’t control the ball even if you allow him to use his hands. And it’s not just because of his international wandering.

    • Benny the Aussie says:

Antonio should not be starting anymore, that is obvious for most of us now.
Bowen is a good back up striker in that role.
I would use Kudus on occasion and keep Bowen wide.
I really hope we click soon as we have exciting players.

  • Spindoc says:

    One word for Antonio: RIDICULOUS.

  • Andy Stone says:

A wasted opportunity. Our coach is a strange one. He left Wolves because he says they didn’t back him. He’s been backed by West Ham but decides not to start the players that he has been backed with. I’m still as angry as I was when I saw the team sheet an hour before kickoff.

  • John Ayris says:

We probably gave Fulham too much respect with our starting line up. It was extremely unlikely that Antonio was going to be bursting with energy, he might have been used better off the bench rather than as a starter. We could have started more adventurous.

  • Alan says:

The starting line up was what cost us. Antonio and Soucek shouldn’t be starting games unless there is an injury crisis. Both were awful as most predicted they would be before the game.

Todibo, Summerville and Paqueta start next game. Mavropanos, Soucek and Antonio taking rightful places on the bench.

    • Mogg says:

Spot on. Couldn’t agree more Alan.

    • Benny the Aussie says:

      Great comment Alan, totally agree

    • Jeeps says:

      Definitely.
JLo seems to be trying to prove a point with Antonio but it’s not working.
Cresswell and Antonio and are both bench warmers and at best last 20-30 minutes.
It’s a continuous scenario always conceding early and playing catch-up.
Needs to play strongest permutation from outset.
Appreciate it’s still trial and error but some things are blatantly incorrect.

    • John says:

Good talk you got it right, I support your opinion

    • Martin Treasure says:

Pretty unanimous support for that, Alan. The most frustrating thing was that the instant the team news was published we knew what was coming – unlike JLo
