Hammer assists FA cup win

|

Hammer Dan Kemp played a part in pushing Blackpool into the second round of the FA Cup – appearing for the  last 20 minutes of the 3-0 win away at National League South team Eastbourne Borough.

As the game ticked into injury time, the 21-year-old showed some neat close control before curling an inch-perfect ball through to Jerry Yates, who finished emphatically from the angle – in turn recording Kemp’s second assist of the season.

Kemp has made five League one appearances, two appearances in the football league trophy as well as this appearance in the FA Cup.

Kemp, who had joined the Blues at the age of six, quickly impressed in claret and blue and his initial one-year scholarship was turned into a three-year contract in July 2016. Kemp has put pen to paper on a new three-year deal which will keep him at the Club until June 2021.

Capped by England at U19 and U20 levels, Kemp was also part of the U21 squad which lifted the Premier League Cup in May 2016.
