Hammer departs for Greece

West Ham have confirmed that Hammer Kristijan Belic has joined Greek side Olympiacos on a permanent deal for an undisclosed fee. The 18-year-old Serbian midfielder, who was born in Belgrade and came through the ranks at OFK Beograd, joined West Ham’s youth set-up at the age of 15.

Belic subsequently became a full-time scholar with the Hammers the following year, and went on to make 17 appearances in the Under-18 Premier League, including a competitive debut in Claret and Blue in a 1-0 victory at home to Spurs in August 2016. He would also later make four appearances for the Under-23 side.

On his Instagram post he wrote “Very happy to sign with the biggest club in Greece after a long day on a deadline day.Ready to give my 100 percent for @olympiacosfc. Thanks to West Ham for 4 beautifule years.❤️#hardwork #thankgod
