Hammers set to reject third Arsenal bid

|

A £100m plus bid from Arsenal for West Ham captain Declan Rice is believed to be imminent.Arsenal are this morning (Wed) being reported as being ready to hurry back to West Ham with a THIRD offer for Declan Rice.

Gooners boss Mikel Arteta is aiming to get closer to the £100 million he believes the Hammers want for their star asset but he may be wrong about that as David Sullivan, having immediately snubbed the first two bids, is still looking for £120 million.

Such is the regularity of stories pouring out of the Gunners it almost seems as though a public relations has been employed to keep stoking the story up!

Should that be the case it will make little difference to the Hammers board who aren’t impressed with such an approach. ONLY THE PRICE ON OFFER MATTERS.

And they will be holding out on accepting anything too quickly anyway knowing that other clubs are now showing their interest.

According to Mail Sport what they claim to be well-placed sources have indicated is that Arsenal’s second and rejected offer was worth £90m plus further performance-related incentives which pushed it to closer to £100m.

And they add Arsenal will make a third offer for the England international having seen their original bid worth £80 million, having also been turned down earlier this month.
