West Ham youngster Leo Chambers has signed for Colchester United on loan ahead of their game today against Shrewsbury.The 20-year-old defender been with the Hammers since he was seven and has represented England at U16s, U17s, U18s and U19s level, captaining the U18s against Italy. He has made three appearances for the Hammers first team, playing in the League Cup against Cheltenham in August 2013. He then went on to play against Cardiff and Burnley in that year’s competition.
He has joined the U’s on an initial month’s loan up to and including March 26th and is straight into Saturday’s squad for the game against Shrewsbury. Leo will take shirt number 32 during his time at the club.
